Stigmatization Forces ‘Albino’ Out Of School

A 19-year-old albino who is a first year Visual Art student of Atebubu Senior High School in the Brong Ahafo Region, Yusif Fatau, has dropped out of school because of threats he received from the community. Fatau, in an interview said that anytime he went to Atebubu town, people would approach him with the refrain that they did not need him there because he was albino. Afraid of what could happen to him, he told this reporter that his father advised him to stop the school.
