Baba Rahman to earn £76,000 per week at Chelsea
Chelsea have concluded the signing of £17.7million deal for Augsburg’s Baba Rahman on Monday.
Augsburg had been holding out for a fee closer to €30m (£21.2m) but with Rahman having already agreed personal terms for his move to the Premier League, the Bundesliga side have now reached a settlement over the structure of payments.
Mourinho’s club reached an agreement with Augsburg for €20 million plus €5 million in bonuses.
The German club will receive an additional million after 20 matches as well as €5 million more after 100 matches for Chelsea. The player will sign a 5 year contract with annual salary of €3 million net of taxes. Baba is on his way to the Premier League.
Having seen Brazilian left-back Filipe Luis return to Atletico Madrid this month after just one season at Stamford Bridge, Jose Mourinho has splashed the £15.8million from that deal on Ghanaian full-back Baba.
Baba, who is just 21 years of age, has attracted a lot of attention from a host of leading European clubs after a breakthrough season in the German top flight last season with Augsburg.
